Too good to be true 23 February 2010

In a recent post I referred to a really funny story from the Foreign Affairs Magazine regarding a diplomat with an unfortunate name.

Since they printed a retraction, as the story was not in fact true, I suppose I should do the same. He was never rejected for a diplomatic postion he applied for in the Middle East.

Although his name (which is probably Urdu, as ‘Zeb’ apparently is a faily common name in that language, and since he is Pakistani) still unfortunately(!?) means ‘the greatest male genitalia’ in Arabic.

But Monthy Python’s skit is still hilarious.
